Extension and alteration to a nine bedroom Grade 11 Listed Residence

Swabey-Collison Architecture achieved Listed and Planning consents for some challenging architecture to this nine bedroom Grade 11 Listed residence. Principally Georgian and 20th Century Renaissance construction, the property also had a William-Ellis wing, some outbuildings, a converted barn and a conservatory to consider within the proposals.

The designs commissioned from Swabey-Collison Architecture brought a cohesive whole to the house giving it presence, flow, form and functionality. The plans altered the ground floor to create an imposing entrance hall, added in a courtyard dining hall with spectacular glass lantern roof, and created a new kitchen with conservatory and garden room overlooking the grounds.

The first floor proposals were minor in comparison, but subtly altered the existing accommodation to create self-contained nanny accommodation.
